📜 Did you know?
Tindfjallajökull is the smallest glacier-capped central volcano in Iceland, its highest peak Ýmir reaching 1,462 m. It is an old, deeply eroded central volcano with a caldera, richer in silicic rock (rhyolite) than most neighbouring systems. No eruption is known there in historical time.
